Education, Training and Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a selling/service environment.
  • Must have at least (3) years of driving experience in the class of vehicle operated
  • Must be able to distinguish between far, near, peripheral distances
  • Driving record must be free of DUI/DWI for (3)three-year period prior to employment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must possess good working knowledge of sales principles and practices, as well as general knowledge of routine business procedures, processes and systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal, coordinative, organizational and evaluative skills.
  • Working knowledge of computers and other general office equipment.
  • Ability to analyze, prioritize, organize and effectively manage and resolve technical problems and projects to completion.
  • Ability to accurately maintain records and document installations, services and repairs.
  • Ability to work alternating hours and schedule on a rotating basis; including weekend and holidays, as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Merchandise and promote Lottery ticket sales through contracted retailers.
  • Deliver retailer POS terminals and supplies.
  • Identify and contact prospective businesses to enroll as Lottery retailer
  • Diagnose and repair hardware, software and system issues; providing technical support to customers.
  • Introduce and explain new Lottery products to retailers and players.
  • Maintain and build retailer relationships with retailers.
  • Responsible for conducting initial and on-going training of new and existing retailer employees on Lottery products and benefits.
  • Assist retailers in resolving Lottery related customer issues.
  • Increase territory sales through merchandising and specific game promotions.
  • Monitor and merchandise new point of sale materials to maximize exposure of products at retailer locations.
  • Identify and engage prospective businesses to enroll as Lottery retailers.
  • Conduct site surveys on prospective businesses to determine best locations for Lottery equipment and marketing materials.
  • Conduct initial start-up training of new retailer employees on procedures for selling Lottery products.
  • Monitor and assist retailers in maintaining an optimum balance of instant ticket inventor

Security Requirements

Submission to, and ability to pass, a thorough pre-employment background check by the required State Lottery and Intralot Inc. is a requirement of employment. A pre-employment drug screening is also a requirement.
