KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
All key responsibilities associated with a Forming Team Lead to include:

Set up and/or operate equipment (Thermoformers, vacuum lifts, forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, micrometers, dials, or calibrated scales)
Ability to obtain Forklift/Material Handler skill set and certification
Ability to use computer systems such as Microsoft office and Inventory Managing Software
Audit process parameters to ensure the process is within customer specifications.
Ability to learn and safely lock and tag out equipment
Demonstrate an understanding, recognition, and response of all common process defects
Taking/measuring product samples to ensure product is within customer specifications.
Entering and analyzing product quality data to identify if the product is within control and specification.
Perform basic operator preventative and daily maintenance to avoid shutdowns.
Perform visual inspections and respond to any defects appropriately
Identify machine and production issues and quickly resolve malfunctions to maintain production schedules.
Read and follow production schematics to produce products in line with design and manufacturing standards.
Ability to communicate closely with online product inspectors when needed.
Ability to learn and operate all types of Thermoformers to include:
Understanding, recognition, and response of stacker issues (dropping cups, adjustments, etc)
Understanding, recognition and response of plug issues (timing and height adjustments)
Ability to perform basic changeovers to include plug, sleeve, and ejector changes on 70K and 75K formers
Change and replace tooling as needed to include down holders, plugs, inserts, etc.
Standardize equipment to include table, encoders, and plugs
Adjust pin chain tension (as well as manually lubricate)
Ability to perform tool change, install hoses, and parallel the tool
Training associates on the operation and processing of Thermoforming equipment
Additional key responsibilities include:
Temporarily backfill for the Shift Supervisor position to include planning and organizing the shifts production needs
Troubleshooting process and product related issues
Perform visual inspections of products running on shift and monitor the process to ensure it is within PD
Verify daily production requirement/changeover needs, verify condition of shift turnover and that material supply levels are adequate
Coordinate/perform changeovers
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as needed
Support/drive investigations to respond to problems reported by customer
Lead training for associates on processing and troubleshooting the forming equipment
Minimum Requirements & PreferredQualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School Diploma/GED or minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to wear all required PPE (hearing protection, safety glasses, hairnet, uniforms, and steel-toed shoes)
Ability to work weekends (36/48 weekly shift), holidays, and overtime as needed.
Ability to obtain the Master Forming Technician certification within 1 year of hire
Has earned a performer rating on their most recent performance review (for internal applicants)
No Written level write ups in the last 180-days, or suspension level write ups in the last 365-days(for internal applicants)
Preferred:
Ability to read and understand the thermoforming schedule and shipping projections report
Ability to close out a work order
Ability to plan and organize the shifts production needs
Assist the tooling specialist to rebuild a tool or replacing components of a tool
Ability to support any R&D forming trial
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform the following: bending, lifting, repetitive motions, walking, and squatting.
